Quick Apply Full-time 8 hours ago Full Job Description The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the entire accounting team by being able to fully perform standard bookkeeping functions.
This role requires experience, competency, discretion, and attention to detail, as well as interpersonal skills for dealing with members of the Burt Process accounting team.
Essential Functions:
Provide direct support to Accounting Department responsibilities.
Accurately prepare and record journal entries.
Accurately reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
Set up new Vendor accounts, including collecting and maintaining vendor documentation (W9s and Insurance Certs).
Assist in special projects and handle overflow work for Accounting department as necessary, including A/R collections, entering and reconciling A/P invoices.
Investigate discrepancies and resolve customer billing issues.
Prepare and generate monthly financial reports.
Prove Credit Card receipts to General Ledger and make journal entry to transfer funds.
Support procedures for online billing and customer billing portal access.
Engage in and facilitate exceptional team communication and collaboration, to ensure that all customer and vendor needs, and BPE company objectives, are fulfilled.

Qualifications:
Previous ERP experience is preferred (Epicor P21 & IFS) 5-10 years of experience with Accounting processes.
Familiar with Computers/ software and MS Office package (Excel, Word, Power Point) Familiar with other basic accounting principles and regulations Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work sitting most of the day Must be able to regularly use hands for typing and computer use Frequently bend to file and maintain files Environment:
