The optometric technician is also back up for our front desk receptionist, so candidate will be trained for pre-testing and reception.
Optometric technician job duties include:
opening exam rooms, starting equipment, pre-testing patients upon arrival, ordering contact lenses for stock room, and assisting patients with contact lens insertion and removal.
Reception duties include:
Scheduling appointments, confirming scheduled appointments, balancing the cash drawer and credit card machine at the end of the day, answering all phone calls, verifying insurance, and checking patients in and out from their exams.
