5K - $116K a year 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago We are seeking a Finance Manager for our fast-paced healthcare practice in the New Haven area.
The Finance Manager role encompasses managerial duties such as accounting processes, budgets and financial analyses, and supervising support staff.
The role will also be relied upon to support the strategic direction of the finance department which includes enterprise level projects.
The candidate will gain exposure to all functions of the company, including HR, Operations, Billing, and be a critical resource to the financial reporting processes.
Ideally, the candidate will be well-organized and seek out efficiencies and best practices to incorporate.
Primary Functions:
Management of the company's financial processes including accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and capital planning Review quarterly divisional P&L / distribution packages Review monthly divisional financial reporting packages Review balance sheet reconciliations including bank, fixed assets, prepaids, expense accruals, revenue, and payroll Review expense accounts and compare to spending reports/targets Review month end journal entries and expense allocations Liaise with external CPA firm regarding tax and regulatory filings Oversight of annual budgeting and forecasting process Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by senior management to meet company requirements Ideal
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance CPA or MBA preferred.
A minimum of 8
years of accounting / financial reporting experience Proven leadership and management experience overseeing a team of 3 or more people Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability for solid decision making Experience in the health care industry a plus.
Ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities while being open to rolling up your sleeves to get the job done Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to work cross functionally.
Have a collaborative mindset, be detail and process oriented with the ability to multi-task.
