Overview:
Quinnipiac University's Department of Information Technology invites applications for a Director of Web Technology.
This role will be responsible for project management, development, deployment, prioritization and coordination, and documentation of web site and web application development projects and activities for the university.
You will also provide development leadership, strategic direction, maintenance, configuration, and administration of web ecosystem and technology support of digital marketing initiatives for marketing and communications, as well as conducting web development planning to create short- and long-term plans for new web sites, web applications, web site enhancements and effectiveness, and web site software selection and support.

Responsibilities:
Project management for all web development activities, provides leadership and direction to web developers.
Web technologies administration and support for Optimizely Digital Experience Platform (Microsoft Azure), PHP, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio,.
NET Core, Microsoft SharePoint Online Information Services liaison to Marketing and Communications providing support on all facets of web and other technologies Web Accessibility lead/subject matter expert and auditor for WCAG 2.
1 Level A and AA Coordinates Optimizely Digital Experience technology activities with Optimizely and Verndale, integration partner and outside development vendor Data integration between disparate systems (XML, SQL, APIs, JSON)Project and technical lead of digital experience platform (DXP) research, analysis, selection, and implementation (Optimizely DXP).
Research outside vendor design and development Documents system configurations.
NET Core, HTML, CSS, Web frameworks, responsive design, XML, JSON Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Google Analytics - Reports and analysis Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred
Qualifications:
10
years of experience in web development Proven track record of successful web technology implementations and projects.
Strong understanding of web architecture, design principles, and performance optimization.
In-depth knowledge of:
NET Core, PHP, Web frameworks Microsoft IIS web server Microsoft SQL Server Web Accessibility Lead and Subject matter expert on web accessibility/WCAG 2.
