We are a high volume transactional (paperwork!) law firm that focuses on retirement plan distribution.
We help our clients get their money out of their ex-spouse's retirement plans in a smooth and efficient way.
As a legal assistant/paralegal, you will be in charge of:
Communicating with clients, retirement plans, courts, and other parties via phone and email Preparing legal documents using our proprietary software Researching retirement plan rules and regulations Following up with parties to ensure timely completion of cases Tracking case status and updating our database Reporting to the founder of the firm, who is also a busy dad, lawyer, student, consultant, and startup founder To excel in this role, you will need:
Some college or paralegal certificate Perferred:
some experience in a legal or administrative role Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and find things to do Ability to multitask and prioritize Ability to work remotely and attend weekly in-person meetings or lunches We are looking for candidates who are:
Part-time or full-time, as long as they are committed to the long term Located in or near Hamden, CT Eager to learn and grow in the legal field We offer:
